Richmond's Jody Cranston produced a pair of first place finishes in the 181 lb weight class at the World Association Bench Press and Deadlifters Great Northern Bench Press and Deadlift Championships.
Cranston set the WABDL Canadian Masters class deadlift record by lifting 574 lbs. -- well over triple his bodyweight of 178 lbs.
The lifetime drug-free Richmond resident secured a second first place award by bench pressing 358 lbs.
"I am very happy with these lifts and plan to keep training hard so I can lift even more in the future," said Cranston.
The victories qualify Cranston for The WABDL World Championships in Reno Oct. 30.
